RCIA Formators Certificate
(Core)
This course provides faith formation for leaders working in the RCIA. Participants will gain confidence, knowledge and skills useful to those working in the Catechumenate. To gain the Core certificate it is necessary to complete the 6 Core units as well as the unit Liturgical Practices and one other. The intention is that students should be able to complete the Core certificate in one year, but that is not a requirement.
RCIA Formators Certificate
(Advanced)
The advanced RCIA certificate builds on the solid foundations of the Core certificate giving students the opportunity to explore particular topics in greater depth. To obtain the advanced certificate participants must have completed the requirements of the Core certificate plus a further 8 units. Of the further units, students must complete 2 units from each of the subject areas of Sacred Scripture, Christian Life, Church History and Electives.
Certificates are awarded to students when they have met the requirements. It is not necessary to complete the Core units before enrolling in other units (except in Sacred Scripture; see below), but many people will find it useful to complete the Core units before attempting more specialised units.
