I was advised by my sister to attend RCIA. What’s RCIA? Was my first reaction. It never interested me one bit. But, months later, out of the blue, I said to myself “Why not? No harm done. It will be like going to a seminar, a lecture or something. If I don’t like it, sorry. I’ll then stop going”. For the first two sessions I was really unsure. But as it went on and on, I became more and more interested and just could not wait for Tuesday nights to come (RCIA nights). Sr. Therese, Pam & Joy are my angels on earth. Throughout the RCIA, they had patiently listened to us, guided us, explained and shared with us. They have really enlightened me and made me closer to God. It’s still a very long way to go. I’ll try to stay strong and overcome any weaknesses that may come my way. Michelle My sister and brother are both Catholics. My mother became a Catholic about 3 years ago. One day, strangely and unexpectedly, my husband asked me “Shall we go to RCIA?” Without a moment of hesitation I said “yes”. It is indeed a beautiful step and decision I have taken. RCIA has made me understand a lot with the help from Sr. Therese, Pam and Joy. I must really thank them for the explanations and guidances they have given to my husband and me. I will definitely try my best to be even better each day by the help from God. Michelle My RCIA journey from last September until now has been a valuable journey to remember! I would like to thank Therese, Pam, Joy and Father Michael for their help, support and assistance is guiding me through an important journey of my life. This experience has given me the opportunity to learn, understand and feel very much apart of the Catholic Community and in saying this, I would also like to thank the Ashfield catholic community for their support and guidance through this journey. The RCIA program has helped me greatly in learning and understanding what we all strongly believe in. I have learnt a great deal about the catholic faith and I am certain that my knowledge of Catholism will only expand. Jenny I would like to thank the members of the local parish for the warm welcome they have given me into their community. I found the RCIA program to be challenging and informative, and appreciate all of the time put into teaching us by the RCIA team and sponsors. Patrick St. Vincent's, Ashfield |
